This panel will explore some of the most recent developments that have had an impact on the viability of existing data transfer mechanisms including CJEU cases on the EU – U.S. Privacy Shield as well as on Standard Contractual Clauses. In addition, this session will examine the use of other mechanisms, including BCRs and the possibility for approved codes of conduct and certification mechanisms, provided for under the GDPR. Finally, this session will explore the solutions which organisations can utilise in managing and monitoring third-party vendors.
