Coordinating an international breach response involves a complex matrix – multivariate laws, diverse experts, different languages, cultures, and commercial sensitivities. This panel will explore how to discharge legal obligations across disparate jurisdictions, controlling the message across business units all over the world, all while delivering on commercial standards and meeting cultural expectations. Particular focus will be on the nuances not in an Incident Response Plan, like how to leverage government contacts in foreign jurisdictions, using global cyber carriers to connect dots and harnessing resources on the ground to address unique issues in foreign jurisdictions like apology payments. The aim of the panel is to prepare organizations to demonstrate to their stakeholders, employees and customers alike that when data is compromised, the organization will respond with the same care that they devote to their products, services, and cultural commitments on offer. The panel will draw expertise from the breach response, insurance, law, public relations and academia.
