This panel will explore the digital advertising industry’s effort to find a workable equilibrium with the upcoming California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Panelists will discuss lessons learned from experiences working to prepare for and comply with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as well as with guidance issued by the digital adverting industry concerning the same. Panelists will compare and contrast key elements of the European privacy regime and the developing California regime. We will utilize panelists’ diverse experiences to help explore possible ways forward.
