AgeTech holds tremendous promise to enhance older adults’ health, safety, connection, and quality of life. At the same time, sensitive data can be collected and used, potentially without older adults’ consent, raising serious concerns. We will review research on the expectations and needs of older adults and examine policy, legal, and technical factors to promote trustworthy, age-centric AI.
