This workshop will provide an overview on the California Consumer Privacy Act as well as context and practical guidance for compliance programs. Specifically, this program will work through realistic hypotheticals to demonstrate CCPA compliance approaches and flag PROs and CONs for companies in different geographies, industries and business model situations. For example, it will look at issues from both the e-commerce and brick-and-mortar perspective and cover how to handle consumer access, deletion, and “don’t sell my info” requests; data broker registration requirements; shifting adtech landscape; and litigation strategies and risks, both in California and nationally.
