Joseph Ali, Brian Hutler, Deven McGraw, Nancy Perkins
This session will focus on the privacy implications of contact-tracing apps, including global use of such apps, pending, legislative activity at the federal and state levels, and particular areas of concern, such as in the employment context. The four members of our panel were involved (two primarily) in the drafting of the Johns Hopkins University report on the issue: https://jhupbooks.press.jhu.edu/title/digital-contact-tracing-pandemic-response, and we will discuss the considerations addressed in that report as well as developments since its publication in May.
Joseph Ali, Associate Director for Global Programs, Johns Hopkins Berman Institute of Bioethics
Brian Hutler, Hecht-Levi Fellow, Johns Hopkins Berman Institute of Bioethics
