Collaborating with business teams to address all the privacy requirements of the GDPR is challenging enough. With the enactment of the CCPA, many organizations must now navigate both the GDPR and CCPA requirements when bringing global products to market. While conceptually similar, these two laws vary in their application to specific product or process constructs. This session will take a very practical approach to applying the core elements of these two omnibus privacy laws to real use cases across several industries to highlight on one hand, the key differences between the GDPR and CCPA, and on the other hand, how to address and reconcile these differences effectively when counseling business teams so that the result is a globally consistent and compliant product.
