As privacy compliance grows more complex, so does integrating two entities following a merger. Even the most thorough diligence processes don’t capture the immensely complex legal and operational hurdles associates with consolidating multiple privacy programs—e.g., fulfilling data subject requests through a single form, updating data transfer agreements, and reconciling potentially varying compliance postures—just to name a few. We outline and suggest solutions to those potentially cumbersome barriers to privacy integration.
