Zach Lerner, Katherine Allen, Michael Razeeq, Eric Pollex Rasmussen
Session Time: Fri, May 8, 2026: 11:30 AM-12:30 PM
The session will examine how employers are deploying AI to source, screen, rank, and interview candidates, and in some cases to recommend or effectively determine hiring outcomes. A growing set of U.S. state laws and regulatory frameworks now directly regulate, condition, and in some cases restrict these use cases, including NYC’s Local Law 144, California’s newly effective CCPA automated decisionmaking technology rules, Colorado’s high-risk AI framework for consequential decisions, and a widening set of biometric and AI interview constraints. The panel will translate these regimes into practical, operational guidance for legal and privacy teams to implement and share with their HR and talent acquisition colleagues.
