Recent research involving re-identification attacks by agentic AI on data that users considered anonymous or pseudonymous (i.e., “safe” to post online) have produced alarming results. Online identity matching is becoming fast, successful, and startlingly cheap. This session will examine the new research and its legal context, offer practical suggestions, and explore new policymaker responses.
