The COVID-19 outbreak has given rise to unprecedented challenges and issues from a GDPR viewpoint. In-house counsel in the front lines are expected to deliver targeted advice on these issues, often under extreme time pressure. In this session, in-house counsel from leading companies will share their experiences ‘from the trenches’ and provide insight on, for instance, how they have handled COVID-19-related privacy and data protection questions. The session will also address whether there has been heightened concern about cybersecurity – considering the increase in distance working – and what privacy challenges the panelists expect when their businesses eventually reopen.
