Age assurance has moved from proposal to practice. From Australia’s minimum age regime to Brazil’s youth focused digital rules–each approach answers the same question differently and each approach has generated real operational, privacy, and access outcomes worth examining side by side.
This session will convene privacy experts to compare notes on that first wave of implementation. Examining which assurance methods held up, what data minimization tradeoffs surfaced, where enforcement diverged from legislative intent, and which approaches might have had unintended consequences.
