Ross Molina, Melanie Witte, Kamran Salour

Session Time: Fri, May 8, 2026: 10:10 AM-11:10 AM

This session will explore the dramatic increase in 3rd party breaches, which some studies show nearly doubled in 2025. While organizations can implement top-of-the-line security within their own network, risk dramatically increases as data is transferred to other business partners, vendors, contractors, and other 3rd parties. The panel will discuss these risks, how to minimize them, what this means for data breach notification obligations, and how to protect yourself from potential breach-related costs (i.e., notification costs, regulatory investigations, class action lawsuits, etc.).
