As privacy programs mature, privacy professionals are increasingly finding themselves in the room where the product design happens. While this is a positive development for privacy, this shift raises questions for organizations as to what the role of the privacy team should be product development, and how privacy professionals can create repeatable, defensible process to get design information and efficiently structure their involvement. This panel will cover strategies for effective privacy product counseling, including defining roles and responsibilities, designing a privacy impact assessment process, and balancing risk with business drivers.
