Organizations have realized they have a new asset class which is their data or the information that the data constitutes.  With the appropriate data governance, it has become evident that this asset class can provide ROI and potentially drive revenue.  Boards and C-suites are looking for a path to monetize data, but they are frequently at a loss for where to start or have made attempts with software packages with unsatisfactory results.  The shortest path to the highest likelihood of success is to establish corporate data governance.

In this session, we’ll discuss corporate data governance and the overall management of the availability, usability, integrity, and security of data used within an organization with a view towards building out the processes and roles for a functional data governance team to be established.  Discussions about who should have a seat at the corporate data governance table, and the division of responsibilities will be part of the presentation.
