From contact tracing for COVID-19 to protecting children from online manipulation, privacy regulation sits at the heart of many of the thorniest issues of the modern world. Join Elizabeth Denham, UK Information Commissioner and chair of the Global Privacy Assembly of worldwide privacy regulators, in conversation with Paul Schwartz, the co-organizer of the Privacy + Security Forum. Commissioner Denham will talk about the measures her office has taken in the short term to advise on data-driven solutions to the pandemic, as well as the major current issues in privacy and data protection – international data flows and equivalence, disinformation and user profiling, data breaches and citizen trust, and of course how she sees the first two years of the GDPR.
