This session covers the proposed UK data protection bill, and identifies how the bill differs from the GDPR and addresses global privacy challenges. This session contrasts the proposed UK framework with the more dogmatic EU thinking under the GDPR. It explores whether a privacy program following the UK approach could be the basis for global compliance, and whether the emerging UK approach can be a robust but more reasonable model for global compliance.
