When an organization experiences an incident, one of the first questions asked is, Who Do I Notify? That is a legal inquiry and one that usually cannot be answered at the incident’s outset. That does not mean, however, that organizations should not tell employees, customers, and partners about an incident at its onset. The question then becomes, what should the organization say, when, and to whom?
